  1. I can never agree that our reporters are deficient in English language, rather I will say their mischevious. Its hightime we have disciplinary committee for reporters like that of Nigerian Bar Association to check their misconduct.

  2. I don’t know why people always keep silent on important issues not until it get worse. Sir your statement may be true, but it is late. When all these are happening is your shut or no press around.

  3. I totally agree with your analysis on Nigerian government being a poor manager, running down all her establishment, but what is not proper is selling these firms to aides and cronies alike…this reinvents the cycle you mentioned in your analysis that is funding firms not making any profit but the funds are channeled to services friends and cronies.

  4. Our journalists are not only mischievous but subjective in their bids to patronize the government in power. Most of them actually live off such patronages and as such, they have dumped the “Ethics” of journalism and are discontent with what they earn within the context of the profession. However, as the saying goes in Hausa language, idan mafadi wawane, to majiyi ba wawa bane… meaning, if the speech maker is a fool, the hearer is not. These mischiefs notwithstanding, most Nigerians know who Nasir El-Rufai is as well as what he represents. Therefore, no amount of witch hunt by any government or its dogs will be capable of redirecting our focus contrary to our beliefs.

Most of them actually live off the patronages and as such, have dumped “Ethics” of journalism and are discontent with what the profession can legally earn them. However, as the saying goes in Hausa language, “idan mafadi wawane, to majiyi ba wawa bane” meaning, “if the speech maker is a fool, the hearer is not”.
